Yarnbombing and Textile Arts

Did an embroidery of the Yellow Springs Chamber of Commerce website address for a yarnbombing project we (Jafagirls) are working on.  It's a mixture of knitting, crochet, felt, canvas etc.

Ongoing Street Art Project Around Town

I added Karyn's Blue flower to the Jafagirls Peace pole on Dayton Street next to Williams Eatery. The Side street looks so pretty with the yarnbombed poles, cafe tables, ivy covered walls, and REAL flowers in the pots.

Talking about Street Art
Do manhole covers have to be ugly? No!!
Check out the flickr pool of Japanese ones. Some of them are really beautiful.

Meanwhile in Jafabrit's Studio
working on a new embroidery

Upcoming Shows
Will be exhibiting some work in the YSart Space Group Exhibit "Artwork of the Human Form". Reception is on third Friday, more info on the YS Arts Blog.

Ooh ooh ooh, I love your stichery-ness and the manhole covers!!
this embroidery is gorgeous. I noticed in the finished piece the drips look like paint, and not stitch so and impressed to see they actually are! Also I was watching top gear the other day and they were in japan and commented on the man hole covers!
